Sungnyenum gate

Sungnyemun Gate is National Treasure number one of Korea and is more often called Namdaemun Gate. In the past, every representative visiting from China and Japan had to pass through the gate in order to enter Seoul. Its construction began in 1396 and was finished in 1398 and then restored in 1448, so it has been in existence for more than 500 years.
